Welcome to Uncommon Bed-Stuy West Elementary School

Uncommon Bed-Stuy West Elementary School is located in the Brooklyn neighborhood Bed-Stuy. Students have the opportunity to attend our elementary academy for grades K to 4, and to continue on to Escuela Secundaria Uncommon Bed-Stuy West for grades 5 to 8 and an Uncommon high school, including Escuela Secundaria Uncommon Collegiate Charter, for grades 9 to 12.

We are an elementary school serving grades K to 4. Scholars attend Uncommon Bed-Stuy West Middle School starting in 5th grade.

Uncommon Bed-Stuy West Elementary School develops its curriculum directly from the New York State Learning Standards that ensures students master a core set of basic academic skills before mastering higher-level material. We also use internally developed assessments to build a culture of continuous reflection and improvement.
