Welcome to Uncommon Kings Elementary School

Uncommon Kings Elementary School is located near the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Brownsville and Crown Heights. Students have the opportunity to attend Kings Elementary School for grades K to 4, and to continue on to Escola de Ensino Médio Uncommon Kings for grades 5 to 8 and an Uncommon high school for grades 9 to 12.

Uncommon Kings Elementary School welcomed its first class in August 2016.

We are an elementary school serving grades K to 4. UKES scholars graduating 4th grade are guaranteed a seat to attend Uncommon Kings Middle School for 5th grade.

Our students follow, and families are expected to support, the school's Code of Conduct. Students wear uniforms and are expected to uphold the school's Core Values.

Uncommon Kings Elementary School ensures that all students receive a well-rounded education that will prepare them for success in high school, as well as college and beyond.

Uncommon Kings Elementary School begins educating students about the importance of college from day one and continues doing so through college readiness activities found in middle and high school. The goal is for freshman year of college to become a natural extension of graduating from high school.

Uncommon Kings Elementary School develops its curriculum directly from the New York State Learning Standards that ensures students master a core set of basic academic skills before mastering higher-level material. We also use internally developed assessments to build a culture of continuous reflection and improvement.

We provide our students with a robust music and performing arts program to enrich their day-to-day learning.
