Uncommon Williamsburg Middle School began with a 5th grade class of 75 students. Since then, we have grown to serve over 300 students in grades 5 to 8 in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Williamsburg. Upon completing 8th grade, students have the opportunity to continue on to an Uncommon Schools high school for grades 9 to 12.

To get our students through the long climb to college, UWMS instills in our students the personal qualities they will need to succeed. Our students follow, and families are expected to support, the school’s Code of Conduct. Students wear uniforms and are expected to uphold the school’s Core Values.
