延长学时和学年

Our students receive support with SAT and ACT tests - including after-school SAT tutoring for all juniors and seniors, collecting high school transcripts, editing personal essays, filing FAFSA, and submitting college applications.

Targeted Curriculum and Assessment

ULC develops its curriculum directly from the New York State Learning Standards that ensures students master a core set of basic academic skills before mastering higher-level material. We also use internally developed assessments to build a culture of continuous reflection and improvement.

Without great teachers, nothing else matters. We believe in giving our teachers the time and professional tools to do their jobs effectively.

We have high academic and behavioral expectations, which demand significant amounts of extra support before, during, and after school.

Athletics and Enrichment

ULC provides a robust offering of athletic and extracurricular activities. Our school competes in Charter School leagues in basketball and soccer, and all students are eligible to join one of the campus' 16 PSAL Varsity teams. Students can also participate in other extracurriculars, including dance, step, cheer, art, photography, music, gaming, film, podcasting, video production, debate, and theater. Students can also start new clubs!
